Mommy + Me Mini Session Details // Franklin TN Family Photographer

These mini sessions are especially exciting for me.. because this year I am a mom! This time last year I was super pregnant, anxiously awaiting the arrival of my sweet baby boy. And that seriously feels like yesterday!

I have always appreciated my mom and what she has done for my family.. but since becoming a mom myself, the appreciate factor has gone up quite a bit! Even since my son was born, she has helped me out in more ways than I could ever repay her! I guess that's what moms are for :)

I am constantly snapping pictures of my little guy.. from using Instagram on my phone to using my SLR for the big events. But I realized very quickly that I was never in any photos with my son! I have lots of amazing photos of my husband and son together, but there might be one or two of me with him. I am darn sure that there are manymoms out there that feel the exact same way!

A Sweet Time // Franklin Nashville Spring Hill TN Child Photographer

Valentine's Day has come and gone, but I couldn't resist a post about my Sweetheart Minis :) I always love planning out all the details for every mini session that hold during the year. My vision was for a very, vintage Valentine's... and I love how everything came together. And, it helps that I had some super adorable subjects as well...including my little man!

Tamy // Franklin Nashville Spring Hill TN Artist Photographer

Despite the fact that we've had a super mild winter this year, my session with Tamy was held on one of the coldest winter days we've had! She was such a trooper through our time together and you would never know it was 34 degrees out!

Tamy is a country songwriter who performs her sweet, old school tunes in town. I had such a fun time with her and got some fantastic shots that I think captured her perfectly. :)

Starting off the year with a fresh look on my business, I decided to incorporate some new things into my sessions. I love the idea of having a theme every now and then, which this session eluded towards. I am definitely going to plan more themed sessions this year.. if you have an upcoming session with me and want to do something with a theme, let me know! :)

The Greiner family was fabulous to work with! I had soooo much fun watching them interact as a family and capturing some special moments between them. Their little boy was just about to turn a year old, so I captured a few shots of him as well :)

 His mom told me he sits like this.. isn't this so sweet?!

Henry | 9 months old // Franklin Nashville Spring Hill TN Baby Photographer

It has been such a joy to see Henry grow :) Since he was 3 months old, I have had the pleasure of capturing some major milestones in his little life. I am always so anxious to see him for his next session.. wondering if he's sitting up now or for our next session.. walking! Henry is two months older than my little guy, so whenever I see Henry doing something I know Gavin is right around the corner from doing the same :) I can hardly believe that I will be photographing his 12 month session in just a few short months.. but I am definitely looking forward to it!

Linus | 4 days old // Franklin Nashville Spring Hill TN Newborn Photographer

I absolutely love newborns. I am always in awe of how tiny they are, no matter how often I see them or photograph them. Little Linus was so tiny and only FOUR DAYS old! Of course, being fresh out of his mama's belly, he slept through the entire session and never woke up. In fact, he was the fastest newborn I've ever done because of that. I even got to capture some of his tiny features.. his lips, feet, and ears. I just love those! I also got some awesome shots too, which I just have to share. :)
